Firefighters from SHFD and Topeka Fire are attending the BNSF Railroad Crude by Rail (CBR) class this week at Texas A&M.

Called the invisible killer, carbon monoxide is an odorless gas created when fuels burn incompletely.

In a fire, working smoke alarms alert you in time to escape safely. Make sure you know how to use those minutes wisely. Develop a home fire escape plan and practice it twice a year with all members of your household!

In a fire situation, once you get outside, stay outside! Call 911 or the local emergency number immediately from your cell phone or a neighbor’s phone.
