Engine 22 now is largely held in reserve in case one of the districts primary engines has to be taken out of service. The engine is capable of pumping 1,250 gallons of water per minute and carries 1,000 gallons of water.
Station 22 was built in 2011 to provide additional fire protection to the area around the Tecumseh community. This un-staffed station has three bays that are each capable of holding a full-sized fire apparatus.
In the event of a call for service, part-time firefighters can respond to Station 22 to drive one of the assigned apparatus to the call.
